Supported by Notre Dame International, the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, and the Pulte Institute for Global Development, the Summit will bring together Notre Dame faculty, leaders, and staff and counterparts from African universities and institutions to discuss synergies and opportunities for short- and long-term partnerships, and best practices and strategies for mutually beneficial programs. By the end of the Pamoja Summit, we hope to have identified and achieved:
- Areas of strength for in research
- Collaborative teaching, student exchange, advising, and programming
- Needs for capacity strengthening and exchange among partners
- Goals and criteria for mutually beneficial partnerships
- Barriers to effective partnerships partnership
- Necessary next steps to solidify partnerships
- A vibrant alliance that can pursue research opportunities and grants
