Jean Gerson and the Fifteenth Century: A Workshop

(part of a series)

Location: Rome Global Gateway

This Workshop is part of a project to initiate a deeper study of the manuscripts of Jean Gerson (1363-1429), the most important theologian of the fifteenth century. It follows a first Workshop held at Notre Dame in October 2019. The project to which it belongs has three components: (1) a searchable database and website of Gerson manuscripts, currently under construction; (2) a new edition of the work of Gerson, under the direction of my colleague Isabelle Fabre at the University of Paris-Nanterre, who is currently applying for a major grant from the European Research Council; and (3) two Workshops, the first at Notre Dame (2019), the second, at the Global Gateway in Rome (2022).
