Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis until March 15, 2024; Seniors must apply by January 31.

Funding Amount: Up to $1,750

Restrictions

Students cannot receive both a Research and Materials Grant and a Senior Thesis Grant in the same year.

Purpose

Research and Materials Grants support research activities and creative endeavors. Materials covered may include but are not limited to: art supplies, human subject payments, survey services, computer programming services, software (as long it is not already available through OIT), travel (and associated lodging and meal costs) to archives or other research destinations, and remote archive/library services. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a major in the College of Arts & Letters are eligible for Research & Material Grants. Students with minors in Arts and Letters disciplines may also apply if their supervising faculty member is in the College of Arts & Letters.
