ISLA is sponsoring three PhD students to attend the Podcasting for Humanities Graduate Students: Storytelling for a Modern Audience from January 8–12, 2024. Offered by the National Humanities Center and the Digital Humanities Center at San Diego State University, this five-day virtual institute will create and support interdisciplinary teams of participants in the conception, design, and production of a 30-minute podcast. Participants will hear from leading scholarly podcasting experts, learn the technical components of recording and editing audio, and explore ways to incorporate podcasting into their pedagogy. Please listen to the episodes produced by the 2023 cohort here.

Program Dates: January 8–12, 2024

This institute will be held over Zoom and Slack.
