United Youth Theatre Internship
United Youth Theatre (UYT), together with the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), has a position available for a Marketing Intern for the fall semester 2018.
The intern, who must have a major or minor in the College of Arts & Letters, will be managing UYT's social media engagement, creating visual communication materials, and participating in planning, research, and implementation of communication initiatives.
United Youth Theatre was founded in 2016 by Drake Shrader and Clare Costello who shared a passion for children's performing arts. Together, they worked on numerous youth theatre productions and went on to teach and manage summer programs for local community theatres. With the objective of providing the community with an array of high-quality, year-round performing arts program options for children, they formed United Youth Theatre—a non profit community theatre program exclusively for youth ages kindergarten to high school.
Internship applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the College of Arts & Letters and a 3-4 page essay explaining why they want to pursue this opportunity, and what skills and abilities they will bring to the position. Applicants should submit examples of brochures, flyers, posters, and other visual communication materials they have created.
Job duties relate to the studies of: Theatre, Education, Communications, and Graphic/Visual Arts.
