Support for External Mentorship: Interim
Awards of up to $1,000.00 are available to faculty members, especially those at the junior level, who seek additional mentoring beyond that available on campus. Funding can be provided to visit either external experts in the applicant's area of academic expertise or to seek invaluable advice about professional development from an off-campus mentor. Alternatively, funding can be sought to bring such a person to campus. This funding normally covers travel and expenses within the US only.
Applicants should submit a letter, in hard copy, to the ISLA director outlining the reasons for applying for the grant and including a budget. A letter of support from the Head of Department is also required: this can be sent directly to the ISLA office.
