Research Travel

Research Travel awards (up to $6,000*) are designed to cover costs of off-campus research during the summer of 2009 or the academic year 2009-2010. (*Research travel grants will normally not exceed $6,000; however, in extraordinary circumstances one may apply for up to $10,000). Eligible expenses include travel for applicant and supplies, materials, and fees during travel. Awards for daily expenses are limited to $100 if travel is within the United States and $125 if travel is abroad. Receipts are needed to ensure reimbursement. It should be noted that travel to international conferences or other professional meetings is funded, when eligible, as Interim Awards and not under this initiative. However, a cluster of conferences during the summer or conferences that run for an unusual length of time may be eligible.

Recipients of awards for $5,000.00 or more are required to submit a one page report, in hard copy to the ISLA office, outlining how their funding was used and what its outcomes were. Please submit your report within one month of the completion of the project for which the funding was used.
