Henkels Interdisciplinary Visiting Speaker

Departments, institutes, and centers are encouraged to bring in distinguished scholars whose work and scholarly activities are interdisciplinary and integrative across domains and would be relevant and appealing to a board range of faculty and students across several fields. Interdisciplinary lectures, workshops and discussion sessions are designed to foster communication between students and faculty from different academic disciplines and programs. Breadth of interdisciplinary appeal as indicated by co-sponsorship and the scope of the target audience is taken into consideration in the evaluation process. Faculty may submit an application requesting $2,000 to cover the cost of an honorarium, travel expenses, lodging, and meals.

  • A biographical sketch and curriculum vitae of the visiting scholar.
  • A description of the talk, workshop, or other form of presentation and how the topic would be relevant to faculty and students across different disciplines.
