Sabbatical Leave Policy
Any faculty member who applies for sabbatical leave must submit at least two major external fellowship or grant proposals in the year prior to his or her leave. If you receive academic year salary recovery (minimum of $30,000) from a grant or fellowship, the University will pay the remainder of your full salary to allow for a full year of sabbatical leave at full pay. If the award amount does not reach the $30,000 minimum, you are encouraged to contact your department chair and Associate Dean Greg Sterling to discuss whether or not you will receive a full year at full pay during your sabbatical leave.
You may access the complete College of Arts & Letters policy on faculty leaves on their website by clicking here.
